Cornish Yarg is a semi-hard cheese made in Cornwall.Ingredients: Pasteurised Cow's MILK, Salt, Nettle Leaves, Cheese Cultures, Rennet, Calcium Chloride, Penicillium Candidum.
Its distinctive nettle-wrapping is edible, although mouldy, and imparts a delicate mushroom-like taste; one matured, the cheese tastes tangy, and is slightly crumbly at its core.
